Meeting Point: Relays

The meeting point now also supports relays. Previously, you could only check the attendance of individual skaters. Now, relays are also listed and you can tick the individual team members as well as the team itself. This is especially useful when four skaters were registered, but only three are allowed to race.

Import from wskate.net

Skate Results can now import data from the wskate.net competition software. Thanks to the work from the wskate.net developer, all results, starting lists etc. can be imported into Skate Results. The two systems are automatically synchronized every minute. That way, Skate Results can now host results of all major World Skate events like european or world championships.

To import from wskate.net, go to "Import" in the main menu, create a new import configuration and select "wskate.net". Fill in the board from the the URL of the wskate.net event and everything else will happen automatically.

Import from JSON

You can now import results, starting lists etc from a JSON file. This includes qualifications, multiple rounds, and multiple finals. The JSON file must be structured according to this JSON schema.

With this feature, every competition software can now integrate with Skate Results. The software only needs to export the results in the correct JSON format, and Skate Results will handle the rest.

Series Permissions

You can now add and remove organizers to your series. There is no need to reach out to Skate Results support anymore. You can manage the permissions of your series by going to the general settings of your series and clicking on the "Permissions" tab.

Event Permissions

You can now add and remove organizers to your event. There is no need to reach out to Skate Results support anymore. You can manage the permissions of your event by going to the general settings of your event and clicking on the "Permissions" tab.

Event Banners

You can now add a banner to your event page. This will be displayed at the top of the event page. You can use the banner to show your event's logo, a sponsor's logo, or any other image you like.

To add a banner to your event, upload an image in the "Files" section in the admin area. Then, navigate to General -> Design and select the uploaded file. Images are automatically resized and cropped to 1200x200 pixels.

Distraction-free admin features

You can now open certain admin features in a separate, distraction-free window. These windows have no navigation and only display the respective function.

This is currently available for the following functions:

  • Meeting Point
  • Livestream inserts

Reloading displays

You can now manually reload displays from the admin area. This might be useful if you have a display that is not updating as expected or errors are displayed. To do so, navigate to the display in the admin area and click the "Reload" button.

Usually, displays automatically reload when an update is availab, an error occurred or the display lost internet connection.

New initial screen for displays

The initial screen of displays was tweaked to be visually more appealing. Most text was removed and replaced with the logo and a slogan. The code to connect the display moved to the bottom right.

The initial screen is now also available to connected displays. It's called "Standby" and can be enabled while the screen is not in use (e.g. during breaks or after the event).

File folders

Files can now be organized in folders. This is particularly useful when many files have been uploaded and the overview is lost. The folders can be nested as deep as you like.
