Dark mode event banners

Event banners can now be configured separately for light mode and dark mode. This helps avoid banners that look out of place when Skate Results is displayed with a different appearance.

Upload the banner images in the "Files" section in the admin area, then select them under General -> Design. If only one version is configured, Skate Results falls back to that banner for the other appearance.

Self-service event creation in admin

You can now create a new event directly in the admin home screen instead of emailing Skate Results first. The Event button is available once self-service event creation is enabled for your account and the latest terms of use have been accepted.

The dialog guides you through basic event data, invoice details, and pricing plus terms acceptance. After submitting, the event is created immediately and added to your account so you can continue the setup right away. The requested URL stays locked until an internal review is complete, and the final public URL may still be adjusted during that review. You will be notified by email once the event is approved.

Replay links on race pages

Race pages can now show a Watch replay link when a video URL has been stored for that race. This makes it easier for visitors to jump from results straight to the matching replay.

Event organizers can maintain those links in Livestream -> Video URLs in the admin area. Choose a timetable day, enter one URL per race, and save the list. If you have many links at once, you can also paste them in timetable order. If Video URLs is not visible in your workspace yet, the feature is still being rolled out.

For more information, see Video URLs.

Meeting point countdown on connected displays

When the meeting point is used with a connected display, a countdown can now be shown on that screen. During longer breaks, athletes see exactly when racing resumes and do not need to wait at the meeting point until then.

On desktop, the new control is a button at the top right; in the tablet layout it sits at the bottom left.

For more information, see Meeting point.

Syncer UI refresh for German competition software

The Syncer UI for German competition management software has been refreshed. You can no longer upload a database file to import later—that flow was confusing and has been removed.

The same interface refresh will reach Excel import and Skate Results JSON import soon. The update is mostly visual; some rows may appear as changed even when nothing actually changed—approve carefully if unsure. You can now approve individual competitions one at a time. Live syncing still works only in Chromium-based browsers, as before. If you notice problems or odd behaviour, please reach out.

For more information, see Live syncing.

Dark mode for the website

The website now supports dark and light themes. By default, appearance follows your system settings. You can also choose to always use light mode or dark mode from the dropdown in the navigation bar.

Condition Tree Date and Time Support

Condition trees now support special handling for dates and times in ISO8601 format. When comparing dates and times, the condition tree engine automatically handles timezone conversions and missing time components (e.g., assuming midnight for dates).

For more information, see the Condition Tree documentation.

Livestream Inserts improvements

The Livestream Inserts feature has been significantly enhanced. It's now possible to create multiple overlay configurations (a.k.a. studio) for each event. Further, studios are stored on the server and can be worked on collaboratively by multiple users.

Existing configurations can be migrated when creating a new studio for an event.

Meeting Point: Relays

The meeting point now also supports relays. Previously, you could only check the attendance of individual skaters. Now, relays are also listed and you can tick the individual team members as well as the team itself. This is especially useful when four skaters were registered, but only three are allowed to race.

Import from wskate.net

Skate Results can now import data from the wskate.net competition software. Thanks to the work from the wskate.net developer, all results, starting lists etc. can be imported into Skate Results. The two systems are automatically synchronized every minute. That way, Skate Results can now host results of all major World Skate events like european or world championships.

To import from wskate.net, go to "Import" in the main menu, create a new import configuration and select "wskate.net". Fill in the board from the the URL of the wskate.net event and everything else will happen automatically.
