New initial screen for displays

The initial screen of displays was tweaked to be visually more appealing. Most text was removed and replaced with the logo and a slogan. The code to connect the display moved to the bottom right.

The initial screen is now also available to connected displays. It's called "Standby" and can be enabled while the screen is not in use (e.g. during breaks or after the event).

File folders

Files can now be organized in folders. This is particularly useful when many files have been uploaded and the overview is lost. The folders can be nested as deep as you like.

File Multi Upload

Files can now be uploaded in bulk. Simply select multiple files in the file dialog and they will be uploaded in one go.

Custom Timetable File

Skate Results automatically generates a timetable PDF from the configured timetable. Currently, the styling is very limited and can't keep up with custom timetables created by Excel or other tools. You now have the option to replace the automatically generated timetable with a custom one. To do so, visit the "Timetable" section in the admin area of your event and select your uploaded timetable file via the dropdown.

Athlete Overwrite

It's not always possible to edit the source data that was imported into Skate Results. You might not have access to the database, don't have Excel installed or you just need to make an update as fast as possible. With Athlete overwrites, you can make changes to athletes right in Skate Results. When opening an Import configuration, you now have a new Tab called "Overwrite". In there, you can change basic properties of athletes from the selected import config:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • BIB
  • Club
  • Team
  • Nation

Overwrites will be applied immediately without a reimport. Make sure to delete the overwrite once you made the change in the original data source. Athlete's results cannot be overwritten at the moment.

Timetable numbering

You can now set a number for each entry of the timetable. This number will be displayed in the timetable tab and can be used as reference between competition office, athletes, referees and others. "Rennnummern" configured in the german competition software are automatically imported as timetable numbers.

Certificate Editor Revamp

The certificate editor has been revamped to make it easier to create and edit certificates. Text elements can positioned on the certificate using your mouse. No need to enter coordinates manually anymore.

Dark mode for admin

The admin area is now rendered in dark or light depending on your system settings.

Digital Meeting Point

Skate Results offers a digital meeting point. The digital meeting point displays the starting lists of upcoming races to check the presence of athletes. The meeting point is automatically synchronized online, allowing other members of the competition committee/office to know which athletes should be at the starting line.
