Export chapters (Livestream)
important
Timekeeping during the race: Skate Results must be connected to your timekeeping system while races run. Export chapters builds its list from race start times written by that live connection. If timekeeping was off or disconnected, there will be no (or incomplete) timestamps to export.
What it is for
After a broadcast you often want YouTube-style chapter markers (timestamps + titles) so viewers can jump to each race. Export chapters generates a text block you can paste into YouTube or similar tools.
Where to find it
In the admin area: your event → Livestream → Export chapters.
How it works
- Skate Results reads race starts from the live timekeeping data for your event (see Timekeeping).
- Set Stream start and Stream end to the window that covers the part of the stream you care about (usually your main broadcast window).
- Optionally adjust Time offset (seconds) and Speed factor if your recording timeline does not match real time (for example delayed start or variable playback speed). The helper texts in the admin form explain each field.
- Copy the generated text from the read-only box. The first line is a stream start marker; the following lines are one chapter per race that started in the selected interval, in chronological order.
If no races appear, check that timekeeping was connected during the race and that your start/end range includes those starts.
