Meeting Point

The Meeting Point display shows the current call-up state on a non-interactive screen near the meeting point. It is controlled from your eventMeeting Point in the admin area; athletes, referees, and team staff only see the display output.

Use it when the meeting point team tracks which athletes or relay teams are ready for the next race and wants that state visible on a separate screen.

Connect it to the Meeting Point

First create or configure a display under Displays and set its type to Meeting Point. General display settings such as language, identifying a physical screen, showing the cursor, and reloading the browser are described in Displays.

Then open your eventMeeting Point, click Displays, and select the display or displays this browser should control. This selection is saved in the current browser. This allows different computers or tablets to operate separate meeting points with separate displays at the same event.

Display states

The display can show these states:

  • Empty: No race is selected in the Meeting Point page. The display shows the Meeting Point title and an empty grid.
  • Age-group race: An age-group race is selected. The title shows age group, competition, and race or round. Athletes are sorted by start position.
  • Age-group multi-race view: A race is selected from a round where every race fits into one grid row. The display shows several races from that round at once, with one row per race and the race number as the row label.
  • Relay race: A relay heat or final is selected. The display shows each relay team's start position, team name, and team members.
  • Countdown: A countdown is active from the Meeting Point page. The display ignores the selected race temporarily and shows Next call in with the remaining time until the configured venue-clock target time.

Athlete and team states

The display uses color to show the state entered at the meeting point:

  • Black: not marked yet.
  • Green: started or present.
  • Red: DNS or not started.
  • Blue animated highlight: the next athlete after the last changed athlete.
  • Yellow border: an athlete had a warning or first false start in a previous race.

In age-group races, started and DNS states are tracked per athlete. In relay races, states can be tracked for the relay team and for individual team members.

Pagination

For single age-group race views, each page contains Rows × Columns athletes. For relay views, each page contains the configured number of Rows. Pages advance automatically.

When an athlete or relay team is changed in the Meeting Point page, the display focuses the page around that change and pauses the page progress. This keeps the next athlete or affected relay team visible while the meeting point team continues checking attendance.

Layout settings

Meeting Point display layout is configured on the display itself under Displays:

  • Rows: Number of grid rows.
  • Columns: Number of athlete columns in age-group views.
  • Title font size: Font size for the display title.
  • Subtitle font size: Font size for the footer or countdown label.
  • Bib font size: Font size for athlete bib numbers.
  • Name font size: Font size for athlete names.
  • Multi race label font size: Font size for race labels in multi-race view.

The default layout uses 4 rows and 6 columns. Adjust the values to match the physical screen size and the distance from which athletes need to read it.
